The prestigious French newspaper "L'Equipe" has compiled a symbolic Best XI of 2011.
As expected, the representatives of the European champions dominate the team - this time there are six of them. For the fourth time in a row, the team cannot do without the Argentine Lionel Messi.
According to journalists, the title of the best goalkeeper belongs to Manuel Neuer, who represented the clubs "Schalke" and "Bayern" this year, and the defensive line is made up of Gerard Pique and Dani Alves, as well as the Real Madrid legionnaire Marcelo and the recently injured Nemanja Vidic.
Since "Barcelona" is famous for its extraordinary ability to control the ball, the only representatives in the midfield are players from this team: Xavi, Sergio Busquets and Andres Iniesta.
The attacking trio consists of David Silva, who has become a leader at "Man City", Messi, and the hard to stop Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo from "Real".
