In the only Friday England "Premier" League match, the "Liverpool" club won an important victory by beating "Newcastle" 3-1 at home.
Craig Bellamy scored two goals for the winners, while the third time the opponent's goalkeeper was defeated to the joy of the spectators was by the recovered captain Steven Gerrard.
