Gilardino moves to "Genoa" club for 8 million euros © EuroFootball.com

Alberto Gilardino is leaving and is moving to a club for 8 million euros.

The 29-year-old footballer has already passed a medical examination, so the deal will come into effect on the first day of the new year. He has signed a four-year contract, under which he will earn 1.6 million euros each season.

In the Genoa team, he will form a striking tandem with Rodrigo Palacio, as the hopes for summer signings Lucas Pratto and Andrea Caracciolo have not been fulfilled yet.

This season in the Serie A championships, Gilardino scored two goals in 12 matches.

Meanwhile, "Fiorentina" has started looking for a replacement. According to the media, one of the most realistic contenders is the Italian-Brazilian Amauri, who plays little for Turin's "Juventus".
