Sir Alex Ferguson, celebrating his 70th birthday, plans to continue coaching for another three years. If his health doesn't fail him, the Scot will become the longest-serving manager in the history of the English Premier League.
"I hope I still have plenty of time left," Ferguson told the club's television channel. "If everything goes well with my health, I hope to work for another three years.
"I still enjoy my work. Sometimes we lose, but compared to the victories we achieve, those failures are nothing."
The specialist assured that he has not lost motivation: "This birthday is special. It is normal for 'Man Utd' fans to ask whether a 70-year-old man is still capable of coaching such a wonderful team. The most important factor at this age is health. I am happy that God has given me the endurance and energy needed in this challenging profession."
