During the third round of the England Football Association (FA) Cup tournament, "Liverpool" crushed "Oldham" 5-1 at home and advanced to the next stage.
The guests took the lead in the first half after a long shot by Robbie Simpson, but soon Craig Bellamy equalized, and before halftime, Steven Gerrard converted a penalty from 11 meters.
The third goal was scored by Jonjo Shelvey, and the opponents were defeated in the end of the match by Andy Carroll and Stewart Downing.
