Strategist Roberto Mancini is convinced that the best team in England remains Manchester United.
This Sunday, these eleven will meet in the third round of the FA Cup tournament. In addition, clubs from the same city are the most likely contenders to win the English championship, where in the league table at the moment the Italians are leading the 'Red Devils' by three points.
"In my opinion, the best team in England is Manchester United," Mancini said. "They are powerful in both composition and psychological attitude, that's why they are at the top."
Sir Alex Ferguson's players have lost their last two matches in the Premier League, and in the first duel of this season, Man City crushed the opponents 6-1. Nevertheless, Mancini does not rule out the country's champions.
"Over the course of two years, Man City will not become what Man Utd is," the specialist admitted. "This club has been at this level for 25 years. We will improve if we win matches, as well as championships and cups. Last season we took the first step towards triumph in the FA Cup tournament, but it will not be possible to achieve that in the next few years."
He also did not emphasize the 6-1 result: "For 40 minutes the opponents played with ten men, which is very difficult."
