Birmingham's squad will be supplemented by striker Robbie Keane for the next two months.
The 31-year-old footballer currently plays for Los Angeles Galaxy, but during the US off-season he will take the opportunity to return to Europe.
Keane has been training with Aston Villa for some time now, and will soon put pen to paper on a short-term contract.
Throughout his career, the Irishman has played for teams such as Wolverhampton, Coventry, Inter Milan, Leeds, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Celtic, and West Ham United.
