The new head coach of London, Mark Hughes, has been officially appointed. The specialist has signed a two and a half year contract.
He will replace Neil Warnock, who was dismissed after a series of eight consecutive winless matches.
"I fully understand the challenge that awaits me in the near and distant future, but I was fascinated by the ambitions of the club's owners," said Hughes. "The primary goal is to establish ourselves in the Premier League. A very bright future awaits."
In June, after a successful season, Hughes left the London Fulham team stating that he wanted a new challenge. Now he will seek to maintain QPR's position in the top league, although the team currently occupies only 17th place.
