Both parties have agreed, today Englishman Kevin Keegan stepped down from the coach's duties. The former coach of the England national team and the strategist of the top Manchester club spent the longest time in the past 26 years at the coach's position - 3 years and 10 months.
Stuart Pearce will take over Keegan's head coach duties until the end of the season. On March 19th, he will face his first challenge in a match with [team name omitted].
On May 24, 2001, having become the head coach, Keegan managed to lead the club to the highest English Premier League in his first season. By acquiring talented players like N. Anelka and R. Fowler, the "Man City" club finished 9th in the Premier League and entered the UEFA Cup. Unfortunately, the next season was much worse - the team only finished 15th in the English league, and in the UEFA Cup, they were defeated by the Polish team "Groclin Dyskobolia".
However, the team also won titles. In the spring of 2004, in the rare beauty Football Association Cup final, Keegan's students were trailing 0-3 and managed to snatch victory 4-3 against [opponent team].
