President of the Argentinian Football Federation, Julio Grondona, would like to see coach Pep Guardiola at the helm of the national team.
The 40-year-old specialist has been coaching the Spanish team since 2008, and during this time he has won a total of 13 trophies, including three Spanish league titles and two Champions League trophies.
"If we had the financial resources, Guardiola would be the coach," Grondona stated, although currently the team is led by Alejandro Sabella. "It would be a dream come true."
He also added that the lack of success of the Argentinian national team is not a reason to doubt Lionel Messi's talent.
"It would be very important if Messi won the World Cup," Grondona added. "However, it is not necessary to be the best. It is enough to look at what he has already achieved in his career. We are proud to have a player like him."
