Steven Gerrard signed a new long-term contract with the club on Thursday.
Recently, there were rumors that the injury-plagued midfielder could end his career next year, but the footballer denied these rumors by putting his signature on a new contract.
"I am very happy," said Gerrard. "It's a great day for me and my family. I have supported this team since I was young, so I am living the dream being its captain. I wouldn't change anything since I started representing Liverpool at the age of eight."
He added: "There will always be ups and downs, but the most important thing is to have as few downs as possible."
This season, the England national team member played 7 matches in the national championship and scored two goals.
