n Saturday, seven matches were played in the English Premier League.

Leaders "Man City" once again outperformed "Man Utd", defeating "Bolton" 3-0 at home.

The hosts dominated the first half but failed to capitalize on several great chances. Wayne Rooney missed the best opportunity by failing to convert a penalty kick.

However, returning veteran Paul Scholes led "Man Utd" ahead just before half-time, and after the break, Danny Welbeck and Michael Carrick secured the lead.

Meanwhile, London's "Tottenham", currently in third place, dropped two important points playing a 1-1 draw with 16th place "Wolverhampton" team.

The visitors took the lead after Steven Fletcher's goal, but Luka Modric equalized from distance in the 53rd minute. The visitors successfully defended for the remainder of the game, with goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey repelling dangerous attempts from Aaron Lennon and Jermain Defoe.

London's "Chelsea" team added three points to their tally, defeating "Sunderland" 1-0 at Stamford Bridge stadium.

The only goal was scored by Frank Lampard: the Englishman was first to reach the ball, which rebounded off the crossbar after an impressive strike from Fernando Torres.

"Sunderland" had their chances as well, especially close to scoring were Craig Gardner and Nicklas Bendtner.
