Gary Cahill moves to a London club for around 8 million euros.
The England national team member underwent a medical check-up on Saturday and has already agreed on personal contract terms, so he will be officially presented on Monday.
Cahill watched the Premier League match between Chelsea and Sunderland from the stands. His new team celebrated a 1-0 victory.
The footballer, who would have become a free agent in the summer, was also of interest to Manchester United and several other teams, but none could match Chelsea's offer. This season in the English championship, the defender scored two goals in 19 matches.
He also played seven matches wearing the national team jersey.
