On Monday, London officially signed a contract with defender Gary Cahill, for which the club paid about 8 million euros.
The 26-year-old footballer passed a medical examination over the weekend and watched a Premier League match, in which the "Blues" beat "Sunderland" 1-0.
"Chelsea" is a great club, competing for trophies every season," said Cahill. "The time for change has come. I would like to thank all the members of the 'Bolton' team - I spent four great years there and earned a place in the England national team."
Cahill made his debut in his country's national team in 2010 and has already played seven matches during this time.
