Kevin-Prince Boateng dropped out of the lineup for at least four weeks due to a thigh injury.
The 24-year-old footballer got injured during the weekend Serie A match, in which the champions lost 0-1 to Inter Milan.
The Ghanaian national team member will miss a total of eight matches, including the Champions League round of 16 match on February 15 in Milan against Arsenal.
It is expected that Boateng will return to the field on February 26, when a crucial match against Juventus awaits in the Serie A championship.
