Wayne Rooney criticized Real Madrid defender Pepe, who flicked Lionel Messi's finger, calling him an "idiot."
The "Man Utd" forward reacted to the incident in the quarterfinals of the Spanish King's Cup, where Pepe appeared to intentionally try to harm the forward. The referee did not notice this incident, but strict sanctions are looming for the Portuguese player.
"Pepe. What an idiot. Sometimes people really get on your nerves," Rooney wrote on the social network "Twitter."
When shortly after the pass from Messi, Eric Abidal scored the winning goal, the Englishman added, "Haha. That's a good reward for Pepe."
