On Sunday, two matches of the 22nd round were played in the English Premier League.
Mario Balotelli scored a penalty kick in the last minute of added time and secured a dramatic 3-2 victory for Manchester City against Tottenham in London.
After a poor first half, both teams bounced back and put on a show, with one highlight being four goals scored in just ten minutes.
Initially, it seemed like Manchester City would secure the victory, as Samir Nasri scored a goal in the 56th minute after a sharp pass from David Silva, and Joleon Lescott doubled the lead soon after with a header following a corner kick.
However, Tottenham did not give up and Jermain Defoe restored hope with a goal in the 60th minute after an unsuccessful attempt to clear the ball by defender Stefan Savic. Gareth Bale then equalized in the 65th minute with an impressive shot from almost 20 meters.
Both teams did not hide their hopes of snatching a victory, with Tottenham's striker Defoe coming closest to the goal, but failing to reach the ball after a pass from Bale.
It turned out to be a decisive moment, as Balotelli earned a penalty kick just before the final whistle, and confidently scored it.
In other matches, Manchester United defeated Arsenal 2-1 after a fierce battle, preventing the league leader from increasing the gap which remains at three points.
The victory was sealed with a late goal from Danny Welbeck, who scored for United after Andrei Arshavin failed to catch up with Luis Antonio Valencia on the right flank.
United dominated the first half and rightfully took the lead towards the end, with Valencia scoring with a header.
Arsenal recovered after the break and had opportunities to equalize, but Robin van Persie missed from a few meters, and Aaron Ramsey and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain lacked accuracy.
In the 71st minute, van Persie finally found the target with a weak shot, but Welbeck turned his efforts into nothing with a precise strike in the 81st minute.
