Italy's national team coach Cesare Prandelli does not rule out the possibility of Francesco Totti returning to the Italian national team lineup during the final stage of the 2012 European Championship.

When asked about it, the veteran also assured that it is likely.

"The national team? Never say never," said the 35-year-old Roma striker. "Let's wait and see how everything looks in May.

"I am really pleased that Prandelli is thinking about me - our relationship is great. I have heard many good things about him, and he is also doing well in the national team."

The last time Totti represented his country was in the 2006 World Cup in Germany. This season in the Serie A championship, he scored four goals in 12 matches.
