Until the end of the season, former "Barcelona" and "Moscow" striker Maxi Lopez, who has been wearing the "Catania" shirt since 2010, borrowed.
The deal was agreed some time ago, but the Italian champions were negotiating with "Man City" at the same time for Carlos Tevez. If they had managed to agree with the Argentine, his fellow countryman Lopez would likely have stayed in the Sicilian team.
Milan's vice president Adriano Galliani confirmed that this contract means an attempt to lure Tevez at least until the end of the summer. There is growing doubt whether the footballer will find a new club by February 1.
This season, Lopez scored three goals in 14 matches in the Italian league.
