London-based security attacking midfielder Jose Antonio Reyes poured oil on the fire once again, stating that he would like to represent Real Madrid.
Interviewed at Seville Airport by a journalist from the Spanish sports newspaper "Marca", Reyes did not deny his desire to represent Real: "It is a huge honor for me that a club like Real is interested in me. Every player would want to play at such a level club, but for it to happen, club managers have to agree. Real has to negotiate with my club."
Earlier, Reyes had become the target of a joke on a Spanish radio station and, believing that he was talking to Real executives, stated in a live broadcast that he wanted to go to Real and claimed that he didn't like the atmosphere at his London club.
After an impressive start to the season, where Jose Antonio Reyes scored five goals in the first five matches, the Spaniard fell into a playing crisis and has repeatedly expressed to journalists that he wants to return to his homeland.
