Liverpool has acquired Glasgow striker Nikica Jelavic for approximately 10 million euros. The Croatian national team member has signed a contract for one and a half years.

The newcomer was presented to the fans during the halftime of the "Premier League" match against "Man City" on Tuesday. He became the third purchase of the English team this winter, following short-term contracts signed by striker Landon Donovan and goalkeeper Darron Gibson.

Jelavic arrived in Glasgow in 2010 from Vienna's "Rapid" for 5 million euros. This season, in 21 matches in the Scottish "Premier League," he scored 15 goals.

The Croatian will be able to debut for "Everton" this Saturday, when they travel for a match against "Wigan".
