Strategist Roberto Mancini took the blame for the defeat in Wednesday's English Premier League match against Liverpool.
The Manchester team lost 0-1 and lost the three-point lead they had in the tournament standings against the closest pursuer, "Man Utd."
"I wasn't very well prepared for this match. Maybe I thought it would be easier," the Italian opened up. "I admit my mistake. It is important to emphasize this and not repeat it again."
When asked what exactly went wrong, the specialist said: "The players gave their all on the field, but we made mistakes during the last three days of training. On the other hand, we stumbled, but I don't think we deserved it, as we had two great chances to score."
And he added: "We are still at the top of the standings, there are 15 matches left. It's important to win the match at home on Saturday, for which we have time to prepare."
