Seven matches took place on Sunday in the Italian championship. The league leader "Milan" maintained their winning pace, "Udinese" won the battle for fifth place, and the winner in the "Lithuanian" clubs' duel was determined by T. Danilevičius's goal.

"Milan" at home narrowly defeated "Sampdoria" and at least temporarily pulled away from "Juventus", who will play against "Chievo" in the evening. Brazilian Kaka scored the winning goal for the Milan team in the second half.

"Palermo" suffered an unexpected defeat, losing 1-5 to "Udinese" and conceding fifth place to them. The opportunity to get closer to their competitors was not taken by "Roma", who occupies seventh place, as they had to admit the convincing superiority of "Cagliari" in an away match.

Meanwhile, "Livorno" with T. Danilevičius moved away from the bottom of the standings, winning away in a challenging match against "Brescia", in which M. Stankevičius played the entire game. The hosts took the lead after a penalty scored by A. Caracciolo, but the visitors scored three times in the second half, with the crucial third goal by Danilevičius five minutes before the end of the match, as "Brescia" managed to soften the result soon after.

"Messina" has the same number of points as "Livorno" after winning 2-0 against "Reggina" away, while the match between "Bologna" and "Siena" ended in a draw. An important victory was achieved with a one-goal margin by the underdog "Atalanta", defeating the "Parma" team.
