For the past seven seasons, the footballer wore the shirts, but the contract was terminated by mutual agreement on January 31, opening the way for a move to Tottenham. Although the transfer window has already closed, the opportunity to sign contracts with free agents remains.
The 34-year-old veteran is plagued by injuries: since April, he has appeared on the field only once.
Nevertheless, the London team offered him a six-month contract with the possibility of extending it for another year.
