The Lithuanian national football team faces a serious challenge on May 29 - a friendly match against Russia.
The new coach Csaba Laszlo's team in Nyon (Switzerland) will test their strength against opponents who are intensively preparing for the European Championship final stage starting in June.
Originally planned for Russia to play against Liechtenstein or Latvia, but eventually agreed to play against Lithuania.
Laszlo has previously said that in friendly matches, he would like to see Lithuanians play against strong opponents.
