Daniele De Rossi signed a new five-year contract with the club.
The 28-year-old Italian national team player was considering teams like "Man Utd", "Man City" and London's "Chelsea", but with this step, he confirmed his intention to end his career in Rome.
"Extending the contract was not easy, as De Rossi had other options. However, we finally reached an agreement, which is a good sign," said Roma director Franco Baldini.
This season in the "Serie A" championship, in 18 matches, the player scored three goals.
