The German championship is approaching a new attendance record - statistics for the first half of the season show that an average of 44 thousand spectators attend each match.

Last season, the number of fans grew for the seventh consecutive year and reached 42,101 per game. This is the best result in the world.

"These indicators prove that the Bundesliga is very attractive and inspiring for fans with top-class performances and intense competition," said Christian Seifert, executive director of the German Football Federation.

The average ticket price in this country is just 22.43 euros (~77 Lt).
