South Korean national team and San Sebastian's forward Lee Chun-Soo has returned to his homeland, as he could not establish himself in the club after spending over a year in Spain.

The South Korean press reports that the player will return to his former "K-League" club "Ulsan Tigers" for 2 million US dollars, from which he transferred to San Sebastian in 2003 for 3.5 million euros.

"Real Sociedad" announced this transfer on their website on Sunday evening, but it is stated that the Spanish club will retain rights to the Korean player until the Peace Cup tournament in South Korea in July. It is believed that the Spanish club made this decision for marketing purposes.

Chun-Soo defended his country's honor in the 2002 World Cup, where along with Japan as the co-host, South Korea reached the semi-finals.

The Korean player failed to establish himself in Spain with either "Real Sociedad" or the "Numancia" team, to which he was loaned to last August.
