Benitez: I don't think "Barcelona" will surpass Madrid's "Real" © EuroFootball.com

Former "Liverpool" and Milan's "Inter" coach Rafael Benitez considers Madrid's team as the favorite of the Spanish championship.

At the moment, the capital team surpasses the defending champion team "Barcelona" by seven points. According to the specialist, it will not be possible for the Catalans to take the first place again.

"Two teams are fighting for the title in this league, others have different goals," said Benitez. - "Real" has a significant points advantage, an excellent and competitive squad, as well as a hunger for victory, since they have not won the championship for a long time.

"I think this makes Jose Mourinho's disciples the favorites. Of course, everything can change in a few matches, but I don't think "Real" will relax."

Benitez also admitted that Fernando Torres' performance has significantly declined: "He is not at the level he was when I was working at Liverpool. However, I believe that step by step, his form is getting better. Fernando is doing everything to become the player he used to be."
