Strategist Sir Alex Ferguson bluntly stated that Luis Suarez is a disgrace to the club. The Scot commented on the Uruguayan's decision not to shake hands with Manchester team defender Patrice Evra before the match.
"Suarez is a disgrace to Liverpool," said Ferguson. "He should not play another game for this team. With his actions, he could have caused riots."
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish had a slightly different opinion: "You must be very unfair to say that Suarez is guilty of something that happened today."
The conflict between Suarez and Evra started back in October. At that time, the Uruguayan racially abused the black Frenchman and was later suspended for eight games.
Returning to the field just this week, Suarez refused to shake hands with Evra before the match. Turmoil continued during the break when players from both teams clashed in the tunnel. At the end of the match, Evra celebrated the victory triumphantly in front of Suarez, who did not react.
