Although the whole Getafe was euphoric after the unexpected victory of the city team with a score of 2-1 against the Royal Madrid Real club, defender Raul Albiol was the most delighted of all.

The 19-year-old Spaniard was delighted not only because his goal helped the underdog team secure a victory against the titled opponents, but also because this goal was very important to him for personal reasons.

Last August, the player belonging to Valencia went to Madrid to sign his loan agreement with Getafe when he was involved in a serious accident. Unconscious and seriously injured, he was airlifted to the hospital, where he had severe internal bleeding stopped and diagnosed with a concussion. Later, Albiol underwent several surgeries and the medics said that the young Spaniard may have to end his career.

Since then, seven months have passed until the match yesterday, and Albiol's goal in Real's goal was like the fruit of tremendous will, effort, and consistent work. The player could not hide his joy - celebrating the scored goal, he took off his shirt and received a yellow card for this.

"When I scored, I didn't know what to do, I just ran looking for someone to hug," explained the former player in euphoria. "I didn't even realize I took off my shirt, which is why I got a yellow card."

Getafe is now eight points behind from the 18th place, which the team must leave to avoid relegation from the highest Spanish league, which silenced many critics who claimed that Getafe was the most likely candidate to relegate to the Segunda Division after this season.
