Former coach of the English Premier League club Mick McCarthy has been dismissed.
The specialist has been working since the summer of 2006, but in the last 13 matches, the team has only achieved one victory. They are currently in 18th place in the league standings.
"McCarthy did a fantastic job, but if this continued, we would definitely be relegated from the top league," said Wolves executive director Jez Moxey. "When we lost 1-5 to West Brom, we had to make a decision."
