The first UEFA Europa League knockout match against Amsterdam's "Ajax" was won, but suffered losses: right back Antonio Valencia dropped out of the line-up for a month.
The national team footballer appeared on the field in the second half and got injured while helping to create an attack that ended with a goal from Javier Hernandez. The English team won 2-0.
In recent weeks, Valencia, who had been one of the team's leaders at the start of the season, has been recovering from a shin injury. In the Premier League, he scored two goals in 17 matches.
However, the loss will be partially compensated by the return to the line-up of Nani and Ashley Young, who recently returned.
