"Bayern" coach: the danger bells are ringing, but we still have 90 minutes © EuroFootball.com

"Basel" coach Heiko Vogel did not spare praise for his players after a sensational victory against Munich's "Bayern". The Swiss team defeated the Germans 1-0 in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals. "I was not satisfied with the game in the first half, as we did not put enough effort into the attack," said the coach. "I said that we need to better capitalize on situations when we control the ball. We managed to do that in the second half." He continued: "We are in a great position before the second leg. We showed incredible determination, understanding of who we are playing against, and healthy self-confidence. Of course, this is only the first step, but we are capable of scoring away, so it will be very difficult for Bayern." Meanwhile, Bayern's coach Jupp Heynckes stated: "The situation is uncomfortable, but I have been in such situations before in my career. Both teams had good opportunities, but we made too many mistakes. The danger bells are ringing, but there are still 90 minutes left."
