London strategist Andre Villas Boas defends the football players and takes full responsibility for the failures. The English team is in fourth place in the English championship, and in the Champions League, they lost the first leg match to Napoli 1-3.

"Players should not take responsibility. They are top-level footballers who know perfectly well what they are capable of. Responsibility falls on one person - me," said the Portuguese.

In the recent matches against Napoli, the strategist decided not to include Frank Lampard, Michael Essien, and Ashley Cole in the starting lineup. This decision was criticized not only by enthusiasts but also by the owner Roman Abramovich.

"The club is more important than any individual," added Villas Boas. "Full support, partial support, or no support at all - it doesn't matter at all."

He continued: "I spoke with people close to Abramovich. Of course, he is disappointed with the result, he asked why I chose that lineup, I justified my decision. There are still 90 minutes of the game left, we believe that everything can still turn upside down. I really don't regret my choice."

He added: "I made a lot of mistakes. I could count 13 at the moment - seven draws and six defeats."
