London loaned midfielder Andrey Arshavin to the St. Petersburg club until the end of the season.

The 30-year-old footballer played 19 matches in the English Premier League this season, starting in only eight of them, and scored one goal.

Interestingly, the Russian arrived at Arsenal from Zenit in 2009. At first, he did very well, with four goals against Liverpool in April of the same year standing out to the fans.

However, later on Arshavin couldn't find his form and eventually decided to take the opportunity to return to his homeland, as in this country, unlike in Western Europe, the transfer window only closes on late Friday evenings.
