The leader "Man City" secured their twentieth victory of the season, comfortably defeating "Blackburn" 3-0 at home. The hosts dominated from the first to the last minute, and these three points allowed them to increase their lead over the closest pursuer "Man Utd" to five points. However, the 'Red Devils' will play against "Norwich" on Sunday.
Mario Balotelli scored the first goal in the 30th minute after a pass from Aleksandar Kolarov, and Sergio Aguero added another goal from close range after the break. Edin Dzeko, who appeared on the field as a substitute, prevented any doubts about the victory by scoring the third goal.
London "Chelsea" ended their five-game winless streak by crushing "Bolton" 3-0 at home, with an excellent second-half performance.
David Luiz gave "Chelsea" the lead with a splendid goal just after the halftime break. Didier Drogba soon doubled the advantage with a header, while Frank Lampard scored the third goal following a pass from Juan Mata.
This victory allowed the capital team to overtake "Arsenal" and climb to fourth place in the league table. However, the "Gunners" could level the points on Sunday if they defeat London "Tottenham".
