The half-year profit of the London club in the English Premier League reached 58 million euros until November. Such indicators were mainly recorded due to the sales of two leaders - Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri.
In previous years, losses of 7 million euros were incurred during the same period.
However, the total debt increased by 46 million euros and reached the mark of 161.5 million euros. Furthermore, fans are not happy as the income received from sold footballers is not being invested in strengthening the squad.
These concerns were denied by Arsenal's chief executive officer Ivan Gazidis: "We invest all accumulated funds in the club and the team. Therefore, financial indicators are important, but I have never said that they are the most important thing. Numbers are just a platform for what we want to achieve on the pitch."
Gazidis added that manager Arsene Wenger will have funds to acquire new players: "We will not disclose a specific amount, as it would weaken our negotiating positions. However, money will be available, and we will aim to invest it wisely."
