London owner Roman Abramovich would have to pay 18 million euros if he wanted to see Jose Mourinho training Madrid's Real team again, reports the English press.
However, it is doubtful whether the Portuguese would want to return to the capital team, where he worked from 2004 to 2007. Therefore, the main contender to replace the dismissed Andre Villas Boas, who received a 10 million euro compensation for such a decision, remains Barcelona strategist Pep Guardiola. The Spaniard publicly doubts his future and has not yet extended his contract, which ends in June.
Indeed, last week Barcelona president Sandro Rosell spoke confidently: "Pep will stay, because this is his home and family. Why should he leave considering these circumstances?"
Among other contenders, Germany's national team coach Joachim Low and France's national team coach Laurent Blanc are mentioned. Currently, the "Chelsea" team is temporarily coached by former assistant Roberto Di Matteo.
