Wayne Rooney's goals decided the victory for Sir Alex Ferguson's team: the first goal by the Englishman before halftime, and he struck again in the 71st minute. Before this moment, the visitors were reduced in numbers: Jonas Olsson left the field after receiving two yellow cards.
The "Red Devils" returned to the top of the league table after this win, as "Man City," who were leading by two points, unexpectedly lost 0-1 away to "Swansea."
Luke Moore scored the only goal at the end of the match, while a late equalizer by Micah Richards from "Man City" was disallowed for offside.
Moreover, "Swansea" missed a penalty kick earlier: Joe Hart saved Scott Sinclair's shot.
