Coach Roberto Mancini has not lost optimism despite the team losing the leader's position in the English Premier League.
On Sunday, the Italian proteges lost 0-1 to Swansea and ended the week unsuccessfully, in the middle of which they lost to Lisbon's Sporting with the same result in the Europa League.
"The last four days have not been easy, but that's football - sometimes you have to stumble," Mancini said. "I don't think we deserved to lose to Swansea. The hosts played very well in the first 30 minutes, but in the second half we controlled the game. However, we did not take advantage of three or four chances and conceded a silly goal."
And he added: "What happened today can also happen to Man Utd, so we have the opportunity to regain the first position. This day changes nothing."
Man Utd lead Man City by one point in the league table.
