In the English Premier League on Sunday, there were two matches played.
The leader, "Man Utd" club, secured another victory and increased their lead over the closest pursuer to four points by easily defeating one of the outsiders, "Wolverhampton", 5-0 away.
The visitors took the lead in the 21st minute when defender Jonny Evans scored the first goal for the team in his career, and soon after the 'Wolves' were reduced to ten men as Ronald Zubar was sent off the field after receiving two yellow cards.
Alex Ferguson's proteges took advantage of this and managed to beat goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey four more times: Luis Valencia and Danny Welbeck scored before half-time, while Javier Hernandez found the net twice in the second half.
"Man City", currently in second place, will have the opportunity to reduce the gap to one point on Wednesday when they host "Chelsea" in a home match.
In other matches, "Newcastle" defeated "Norwich" 1-0 thanks to an impressive goal by Papiss Cisse, strengthening their position in sixth place on the league table.
