On Sunday, two matches of the England FA Cup quarterfinals were played.
London's "Chelsea" club secured a spot in the semifinals by defeating the "Leicester" second league team 5-2 at home. The focus after this match will be on the hosts' forward Fernando Torres: the striker, who cost 58 million euros, scored two goals after five months of "drought" and more than 1500 minutes of pure playing time.
He scored the third and fourth goals for his team, preceded by Gary Cahill and Salomon Kalou. The fifth goal was scored by Raul Meireles.
Competing for a place in the final will be the "Liverpool" team, who beat "Stoke" at home 2-1.
The 'Reds' took the lead in the 23rd minute when Luis Suarez sent the ball into the net with an impressive shot, but soon after, Peter Crouch equalized with a header.
After the break, "Liverpool" picked up the pace, and in the 57th minute, it turned into a winning goal: Stewart Downing defeated the opponent's goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen with a shot into the penalty area.
The other two participants in the semifinals were not determined on Saturday: "Everton" and "Sunderland" played a 1-1 draw, so a rematch will be played, and the match between "Tottenham" and "Bolton" was interrupted due to Fabrice Muamba's heart attack.
