On Thursday, "Barcelona" officially announced that they have completed negotiations with the Brazilian club "Coritiba" regarding the loan of forward Keirrison.
The 23-year-old footballer is returning to the team where he began his professional career, and he is expected to play until the end of the 2013-2014 season. At that time, his current contract with the Catalan club will expire.
In the summer of 2009, "Barcelona" acquired Keirrison from "Palmeiras" for 14 million euros and signed a five-year contract with him. It was clear then that the Brazilian would not immediately put on the Barcelona team shirt - it was announced that the forward would be loaned to some European club to gain more playing experience.
Keirrison did not play a single official match for Barcelona. In 2009, he moved to Lisbon's "Benfica", later defending the honor of "Fiorentina" for six months. In the summer of 2010, Keirrison returned to Brazil - Barcelona agreed to loan the player to São Paulo's "Santos". Later, the footballer was loaned to Belo Horizonte's "Cruzeiro" club, and now he is returning to the "Coritiba" team, which he represented from 2006 to 2009.
