"Executive director Ian Ayre mentioned that this summer Luis Suarez will be offered to extend his contract.
The Uruguayan national team member signed a five-and-a-half-year contract in January 2011, but recently has been linked with a move to other clubs. Therefore, Liverpool will seek to deny these rumors by negotiating a new contract.
"Luis says he wants to stay. His contract is valid until 2016, but I have no doubt that we will talk to his agent after the season," said Ayre. "Who wouldn't want to have such a forward? He is fantastic both on and off the pitch."
