Coach Damiras Petravičius refers to Calum Elliot, who scored a triumphant goal in the match against Pakruojo "Kruoja", not as a star, but as a hard worker.

"Kruoja" head coach Aidas Dambrauskas expressed regret after the match that his players were unable to take advantage of the opportunities they created. "We were worthy opponents. The goals seemed almost invisible. We created opportunities, but didn't take advantage of them. We were hoping for a draw. I think we played better in the first half. In the second half, the game evened out. We tried to counterattack and came very close to the goal. The result could have been completely different, but Žalgiris took their chance and won," said the "Kruoja" strategist.
VMFD "Žalgiris" head coach acknowledged that "Kruoja" is a strong team.
"They had two good opportunities to score, but they didn't take them. We took our chance and proved that we are stronger," said D. Petravičius about the opponent. "The match was very tense. There were a lot of mistakes in the first twenty minutes which didn't allow us to play. We made two substitutions during the break and the team started to play better. We achieved a very important victory. Now we can prepare for the very important match against Marijampolė's "Sūduva" team with a good mood.
In the fourth round match against Marijampolė's "Sūduva", Žalgiris will play at the LFF Stadium on April 1 at 4 pm.
