On Sunday, three matches of the III round are being played in the Lithuanian championship.
The defending champion Panevėžys "Ekrano" club secured their second victory, crushing the Tauragė "Tauro" team 5-0 at home.
The hosts took the lead in the 20th minute, when Marko Andelkovičius sent the ball into the net after a pass from Aurimas Vertelis. Shortly after, "Ekranas" lost their main defender Igor Dedura due to injury, who was replaced by Dainius Gleveckas, but no more goals were scored before halftime.
In the second half, the Panevėžys residents finally took the initiative: Vertelis doubled the lead in the 60th minute and Mantas Savėnas scored from a few meters out in the 72nd minute.
After this episode, "Tauras" collapsed completely, and "Ekranas" scored two more goals: Vytautas Lukša scored with his head, and later defender Mantas Samusiovas also found the net.
