In the only Sunday match of the English Premier League, the "Newcastle" team achieved a great victory, beating "West Bromwich Albion" 3-1.
The guests took the lead in less than 10 minutes when Papiss Cisse sent the ball into the net after a pass from Hatem Ben Arfa, and soon Ben Arfa himself doubled the lead with a great shot.
Cisse decided the outcome of the match before halftime, and an early goal from "West Bromwich" striker Shane Long in the second half did not have much impact.
After this victory, 'The Magpies' (50 points) climbed to fifth place in the league table, overtaking the London team "Chelsea" and still have hopes in the battle for the fourth spot, currently held by London's "Tottenham" (55 points).
Meanwhile, "West Bromwich" with 36 points is in 14th place.
