Neymar: I don't need Europe - I can improve in Brazil © EuroFootball.com

Brazilian football prodigy Neymar disagrees that in order to reach his full potential he needs to move to Europe to play.

The 20-year-old footballer is interested in clubs such as "Barcelona" and Madrid's "Real," but he intends to stay in his hometown club "Santos" at least until 2014.

A few days ago, another Brazilian star Ronaldo stated that Neymar could surpass Lionel Messi, but he must do so in the Old Continent. These comments caused dissatisfaction among the leaders of "Santos" and Pele, which Neymar also agreed with.

"Experience comes with time," Neymar said to "Globoesporte." "Over the past three years, I have improved and continue this process by working hard and aiming for victories.

"I don't need to go elsewhere to grow or gain experience. I can do the same at the 'Santos' club, so I don't have to travel to Europe. Coach Mano Menezes supports me in this. Of course, the final decision depends on me and my family."

In the Brazilian national team, Neymar scored eight goals in 16 matches. Meanwhile, in the national championship, in 9 games this year, he defeated opponents' goalkeepers seven times.
