Safeguard Nigel de Jong urges his teammate Mario Balotelli to stop fooling around.
The Italian national team member has been involved in numerous scandals in England over the past couple of years. Recently, he attracted media attention after arguing with defender Aleksandar Kolarov during a match against Sunderland over who should take a penalty kick.
"Sometimes Mario acts like a fool, sometimes like a genius. So there are two sides to his personality," De Jong said. "Many fans expect to see impressive tricks, so he feels like he has to show something.
"I am glad that his personal relationships are happy, which allows him to concentrate on football. However, Balotelli himself understands well that he needs to think better before doing something.
